Tough and Powerful: A Review of the Motorola ThinkPhone

I had the chance to use the Motorola ThinkPhone for a few days, and I must say, I was pretty impressed with this device.

Firstly, the phone’s build quality is outstanding. It has a Gorilla Glass Victus front, an aramid fiber back, and an aluminum frame. This combination of materials gives the phone a sturdy feel in hand, and it also offers impressive durability. The phone is IP68 dust and water-resistant, meaning you don’t have to worry about accidental spills or splashes damaging your device. It can also withstand drops from up to 1.3m, making it ideal for those who are prone to dropping their phones.

The display is another highlight of this device. The 6.6-inch P-OLED screen is bright, vivid, and offers a high 144Hz refresh rate, which makes the phone feel incredibly smooth and responsive. The 1080x2400px resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio are perfect for viewing videos and playing games. The HDR10+ support also enhances the visual experience by offering better contrast and colors.

Under the hood, the Motorola ThinkPhone is powered by a Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, coupled with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, depending on the variant you choose. This combination ensures that the device can handle any task you throw at it with ease, from multitasking to gaming. The phone comes in various storage options, from 128GB to 512GB, which should be enough for most users. The UFS 3.1 storage ensures fast read and write speeds, which is great for transferring files and loading apps.

Moving on to the camera, the Motorola ThinkPhone does not disappoint. The rear camera features a 50 MP wide-angle main camera, which takes stunning photos with accurate colors and plenty of detail. The 13 MP ultra-wide camera is great for capturing wide landscapes or group shots, and the 2 MP depth sensor is perfect for portrait shots. The front camera comes with either a 32 MP or 16 MP wide-angle camera, depending on the model you choose, and takes great selfies even in low light.

One of the most impressive features of this phone is its video recording capabilities. The rear camera can shoot 8K videos at 30fps, which is something you don’t see in many smartphones these days. The camera can also shoot 4K videos at 30/60fps with HDR10 support and offers slow-motion video recording options at 1080p at 30/60/120/240/960fps. The front camera can shoot 4K videos at 30fps and 1080p at 30/60fps, making it great for vlogging or video calls.

Battery life is another area where the Motorola ThinkPhone excels. The 5000mAh battery can easily last a full day on a single charge, even with heavy usage. The phone also supports fast charging, with a 68W wired charger and a 15W wireless charger included in the box.

Overall, the Motorola ThinkPhone is an excellent flagship smartphone that offers impressive build quality, a stunning display, powerful performance, and impressive camera capabilities. The device has a premium feel to it and is packed with features that make it stand out from the crowd. If you’re in the market for a high-end smartphone, the Motorola ThinkPhone is definitely worth considering.
